We are delighted to introduce Mikro Kapital as exhibitor of the 2023 Edition.
Founded in 2008, Mikro Kapital is focused on impact finance and microfinance. Mikro Kapital operates through its Luxembourg securitization funds collecting financial resources from European Institutional and Private Investors through the issuance of fixed coupon, fixed maturity debt securities linked to the risks related to micro-financing.
The securitization funds invest the proceeds in their own local Microfinance institutions (MFIs), in emerging countries in Europe, Central Asia and APAC regions, which provide micro credits and micro loans to MSMEs, the backbones of the local economies.
This model allows a full overview on the flows, from investors to end-borrower, reducing risks, optimizing the returns and eliminating costs related to intermediaries. In addition, the local presence of the MFIs, allows a constant monitor and support to the end-borrower further reducing the risk of non-repayment of the debt.
The benefits of microcredit can also be experienced not only by the small and medium-sized enterprises supported, but also by investors looking for alternative return opportunities (thanks to the low correlation of this instrument with the stock markets) and eager to generate a positive impact with their investments due to alignment with the environmental and social development priorities of the various emerging countries.
Mikro Kapital is part of the European Microfinance Network and have partnerships and adhesions with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), LuxFlag, GIIN, the National Institute of Italian Microcredit (ENM), as well as collaborations with important international investors.
“Investing in SMEs leads positive impact on economies while offering an alternative return”
Vincenzo Trani, President of Mikro Kapital
